Hi i'm kirsty from west yorkshire just want to introdce myself. :) as a child my mum used to rescue greyhound and find them new loveing homes, today im going to pick up my new whippet puppy so any advice would be grateful thank you in advance he is going to be a much loved family pet

hello kirsty welcome to k9 . iv not long got a puppy and heres sum advice ....

1.get sum ear plugs for bedtime :- "

2.put everything thats not tied down to the floor up out of reach :lol:

3.try grabbing as many naps as you can while puppy is sleeping throu out the day and night :lol:

ooo yeh and a bottle off valium (w00t) :lol:

I will send some photos it will probably be tomorrow as I'm getting him later on tonight I'm so excited though he is a blue fawn with white :)

you know what? my Rocket who is 5,5 months old now, was blue fawn on white. irish markings... now he is sandy-beige!! if you look at my links below you will see how he has changed color..

if you go to the youtube link for example... and look at the "wonderful world of whippet puppies" vid.. Rocket is the blue one. then if you see him today, like in "Frisbee 101" you will see how his color changed.

i loved the blue color, and i love the beige just as much!

have fun! expose your puppy to the outdoors, to people, dogs , cats... it will be very good for him/her.

Welcome Kirtsy and GOOD LUCK! My first puppy is now ten weeks old and he is wonderful o:) and I am exhausted :sweating: :sweating: keeping up with him. You'll have a lifetime of fun with your whippy I'm sure :huggles:
