We will be leaving on the stroke of midnight and traveling up through the night to hopefully miss the sticky spots of traffic along with the way, so today I am like a kiddie, I have butterflies and everything

You should be driving past my turn-off from the A30 in about 15-20 minutes!!! :)

Awww you lot are lovely :huggles:

You are never going to belive this.....

All going to planned left here and drove just short off Sedgemoor services... then all of a sudden the car just stopped.... we were over taking a lorry at the time and so Ian made a dash to get into the hard shoulder.... this was 3.30am (as in the end decided to leave at 2am, gave us a few hours kip before we left) Ian naughty man he is, got out and lifted the bonnet to see what had gone wrong....... bonnet up and found nothing but then it was dark and very cold... so got back int he car and rang the RAC..

RAC said coz on motorway, even if they could get it fixed they wont as it is dangerous being where we are and to get out of the car and stand behind the barrier..... Motorway patrol then arrives, tells us to leave Sidney in the car and to get ourselves to safety as you have a 11 second life span being on the motorway and all that sort of lecture.... I did point out if that was the case why the hell did I have to leave Sidney in the car!!!

Wrapped up like a flamin turkey we scrambled over the crash barrier and stood in the freezing wind watching lorries and goodness knows what drive past... all the time I am thinking, I hope you are awake lorry driver coz if you hit my car and hurt my dog, my golly I am gonna hurt you!!!!

an hour or so later the RAC finally arrive... we'd been stood there on our own for 40 mins as the motorway patrol went after they gave us the space blankets, what use they were!

RAC tow truck took us to Callington, then we got out and went with another tow truck, now it is 8am and we set off back home!

Have now got in and cooked us all breakfast as not only dropping on our feet but hungry too.

Ian has looked at the car and it was the cambelt that went so he has tootled off with his Dad to get another one and will this afternoon fit it, if all else fails then M&D (in law) have offered their car to us to try once again tonight/tomorrow early morning.

They have gone out for the day and are off to a show tonight so we will get the car when they get back.

I keep looking at Ian and say, well I didn't see that coming!!!!

So little Ben is still with his family for the moment..... but we are coming!!!! and he will be home here soon.

I am off to catch a few -_- before we try again

will keep you all updated :huggles:
