Pat's just rang me again & she's going to the vets to pick Fern up & take her to a specialist vet in bristol as her lung is damaged :(
Apparantly the dog that attacked her was ON a lead, but when it saw Pat & her dogs it just dragged it's owner over to them as she wasn't strong enough to hold it  .......what the f*ck are rescue kennels doing rehoming a bloody great thing like that to someone who can't even control it on a lead???

completely agree debs  really hope fern pulls through :huggles:

Oh No - everything crossed here for the lovely Fern, and Homer & Pat who must be very shocked. I hope the owner of the other dog takes steps to prevent this ever happening again.

Please keep us updated when you have more news Debs.

This is heartbreaking :( Poor little Fern.

I am sending all the love and luck I can muster for her recovery :luck: :luck:

Very sorry if this offends but IMO the dog that attacked her should be PTS. It will happen again.

I'm so sorry this has happened to poor Fern. I hope she makes a fast recovery. :huggles: :huggles:

thinking of Fern, Homer and Pat. hope all goes ok. i got everything crossed :luck: :luck:

Im sorry to read this and hope Fern makes a full recovery... :huggles: this sounds like exactly the same wounds and injuries my Chip had way back in 2000...four broken ribs and punctured lung in quite a few places.

Can I just say through the op...it was touch and go but he did go on to make a full recovery..

Sending some healing vibes to Fern.. :huggles: :luck:

the next thing she rehomed it within 2 days no questions DISCUSTING

Thanks everyone for your kind comments,i know Pat will appreciate your concerns :huggles:

Ferns now at Bristol & there is concern that her heart has enlarged & i think possible damage to her bladder,& it looks as though her chest might have to be opened right up to see what's fully going on :'(

So please please keep her in your thoughts tonight :huggles:

God how awful :( Best wishes to all involved.
