Tonight we sit at home with our lovely litter from Jacki in the whelping box alone with out there mum and bottle feeding them as Jacki has developed a very nasty infection in her uterus the vet thinks. She went down hill fast this afternoon bring up nothing more that water and passing the same. Jacki was too dehydrated to operate on tonight, so with fluids running, iv antibiotics and pain relief I had to leave my girl at the vets. This is the first time in 11 years that we have had trouble with a bitch post whelping and hurts me to know that she is in the vets alone without her babies that she loves so much. We will look after her babies until she comes home, they are drinking well and their half sister Maggie has offered her cleaning services to help out her mum.

I will let you know how she goes and I'm hoping to have her home tomorrow or the next day. :luck: :luck:
