Well done to the organisers. You have a great weekend in prospect. To everyone else, keep the entries coming. It would be good for your sport to see a 64 dog stake take place for the first time in GB. COME ON EVERYONE MAKE IT HAPPEN. :luck:

It would be great to see a 64 dog stake Lampy, but not in March hey !! as the weather is often wet, cold and this event is on the same day as the BSFA and a week after Crufts .... hmm I don't think the timing is that good :clown: .... but we could all try and aim for the summer and a 64 dog stake then ?? ...

I think that is too much for even a fit dog to run in one day - better make it a weekend and run a purse and plate for first and second round losers.

I'd LOVE to enter a 64 dog stake.

I think it would be fantastic to see the dogs running to their full potential. There are many dogs that do much much more in a day in the field (or in the park for that matter :clown: ) and I think it would be a fantastic event.

Totally agree with Hannah about the timing though, but roll on the longer days and no clashing with other events. I'm sure it will happen. No doubt it'll be in Scotland though knowing my luck (w00t)

We're currently having a fabulous debate in our house at the moment. Will I put too much weight on the lads for Crufts so they're not ready for this, or will I sacrifice chances at Crufts for a lure coursing competition..........It's been fun, I can tell you (w00t) :nuke:

A 64 dog stake would be fab but it would have to be in the middle of the country to give everyone an even chance to get there

Over 2 days is the only way for a 64 stake as already said doesnt matter how fit the dog that would be too much to expect :sweating:

MMMMMMM crufts or lure coursing a hard one TC Glad I dont have to decide xxx

Wasn't suggesting a time scale. Clearly one day would be know where near enough. Pre ban we ran a 64 with EAWCC over 3 days a more realistic span.

The only way to run a 64 dog stake in 1 day would be to run the event as a straight knockout event imo

Right Then back to this event we need 16 more whippets & 9 Lurchers to fill all 3 cards im sure there are plenty more dogs out there don't be shy

A 64 dog takes place at Peterborough in October,a real great day out,i think it's only for rescue dogs only, and this is done by a knock out

Definitely in the middle of the country

LOL I don't have to decide....they'll go in the ring as fit as they are every day, and be ready for the following weekend. Doesn't stop the debate though :-
