Oh Shane, this must be a nightmare for you, I'm so sorry. Poor Pete he must be at his wits end. Hope things start to get better for him soon :huggles:

Well he had a more settled night :) ,but still reluctant to put weight on it but the bandage does not appear tight and there is no swelling?, so will wait and see how things go today :luck:

Well it is Friday and he seems much happier :) so I hope things have settled, then on Tuesday he gets his dressing changed again, perhaps the splint has been put on differently and feels uncomfortable/strange, but he seems happy in himself if not very bored, as can't go in the kennel during the day in case it rains and he must not get the bandage wet!, so they are both confined to barracks and the lady that walks them is on hols, so mum here has to get home at lunch time's to let them out for a wee etc. Mind you they have the run of the kitchen, hall and dining room!, and I don't work too far away. Dogs who would have them!!!

Thank god it's the weekend, I have to work :( but at least I can get my OH to dog sit and I don't have to rush home at lunch-time :)) , Pete is doing ok :) bandage change Tuesday. Think we may-be getting there :)) :luck:

sounds like things are looking up shane  he's come along way really by the sounds of things. best of luck with everything :luck: hugs to pete

Try not to worry. Leia was threatened with amputation and is now almost 100% again. You would not believe it only 3 months after being allowed to execise normally she is fit and well again. She is still faster than Star even with a fused wrist :)

Lots of love to Pete :luck:

Yes we are staying positive and all your comments are helping, Pete is coping very well. :- " ....too well infact

Glad Pete is feeling a bit better :huggles: from us :huggles:

Off to the vets this eveining for a bandage change and check them 2 more visits (one next week then one the week after) and then the splint may-be able to come off :)

We are all getting bored, fat and lazy :- " missing our long walks :( , never mind all being well things will be ok  for our holiday in Yorkshire 8)

Hi Shane,

Good luck for the vets tonight, hope they give you positive news

Well leg is looking good and stable some swelling has gone, bad news is he has an ulcer bless him on his foot, :( so back on antibiotics and painkillers and dressing changes every four days. I noticed it as he wouldn't put his foot down and I said it may be sore and could they check between his toes and all this dried hair and blood was removed :x , but he was good as gold having it cleaned :huggles: , just hope it is ok on saturday morning when we go back :( :luck:
