Front foot back to normal, :) but not good news on hind one, :( vet took dressing off, and look and tutted then took the stitches out and looked again then said he wasn't happy, looked like foot rotated out, leg didn't look right, x-rays thursday and ? another operation :( . Poor pete, also his splint was broken when the dressing came off ? how this happened but may be he jumped, broke splint, and leg went down hill from there. :(

Poor thing didn't want to get out of the car, was huddled in the back :(

Gawd - poor Pete.

Glad the front leg is OK.

Is he seeing a specialist Orthapeadic Vet? Our specialist Vet was great, I only used our normal vets for dressing changes etc and they still managed to cock things up.

Still keeping fingers crossed for him.

What a rough time you are having. I was really looking forward to some good news for you all. I will keep my fingers tightly crossed that things aren't as bad as they look. Good luck for Thursday - I will check things out then.

Love to Pete

Aww pete - :( hope you get better news on Thursday - hes been through so much poor lad. :luck: :luck:

Rae he is seeing a specialist, it takes us 45-50 mins to get there but if they can sort things out it will be worth it, good job we are insured :- " , trying to get him to rest as much as possible between now and thursday, but it's almost impossible :( . Poor Pete he's getting lots of cuddles :))

Awwww bless him, he's been through so much, the broken splint must have made him feel sore, lets hope the next op will sort him out.

:luck: :luck: :luck:

well tomorrow is D-day first and xray and then ? operation or not. Hope everything has settled down, don't want him to go through another op poor little fella, I am already dreading taking him in the morning :( :(

Sending lots of positive whippet thoughts to Pete tomorrow :luck: :luck: :luck: Bless him he's being such a brave lad.

Trying to keep positive, but am dreading taking him, just hope it's good news when they x-ray and that they don't have to operate :( will let you all know this evening, thanks for all your support. :)

Keep everything crossed for us :luck: :luck:

:( face say's it all unable to talk to vet, but was told he had come through surgery ok, so couldn't have just been an x-ray and/or manipulation. Was told he was very sleep so can't fetch him till tomorrow :( , have to ring a 9.30, but at work so can't fetch him till at least 5pm :( :( :(

Just want him home poor little boy :(

His brother is missing him, so out for a long walk later and he will no doubt be spending the night in his basket but in our room, and also both him and Pete Friday night. :) don't mind though.

Ahhh poor pete. I bet you are sick with worry. :( Hope everything goes ok :luck: At least he's in good hands.

Vet has rang, did have to operate again and re-align everything :( but operation went well. Just have to find out what happens next. Feel as though we are back to square one, trying to keep him still is a nightmare just concerned that things might go wrong again and he can't continue to have operations, so need to clarify things with the vet.

Trouble is we are on hols in 5 weeks :- " , so want things better for then.

Will up-date again tomorrow when I have him home

What a rough time you are all having. I will look in again tomorrow night and keep my fingers crossed that everything is O.K.
