Here are the boys in the sun, Pete is a little frustrated as confined to barracks so to speak :(

Aww - lovely pictures  o:) hope hes soon on the mend. :luck:

Off to the vets in 15 mins up-date later. :( hope it's good news. :)

News update, splint to stay on for 2-4 weeks, on more antibiotics, analgesic, for a few days. Joint laxey?, vet said give it a few weeks if no improvement may have to fuse it, but things are looking ok. He is bored and when his brother showed interest in Pete's leg he growled :( , could be in pain so tablet given, he is not settling and he is not himself today :( . it is going to be a long few weeks :(

:( Poor pete. My sympathy very much with you as vet says Tess not allowed of lead for at least next month and a half and not play with Nana

Just read this. Poor Pete! :( :huggles: If his bandage was changed yesterday and he growled at his brother after, I should think it was a bit painful after being mucked around. Good luck keeping him quiet for the next few weeks! (w00t) Here's hoping he makes a full recovery!

Last 2 days he has been settled, can't wait till next monday when he is checked agian. he has been good and hasn't even tried to nibble his bandage :) He is happy when in the garden with his brother watching the world go bye, even if he has to stay tied up :(

Here is Pete taking advantage of having a poorly leg o:)

Shane, I'm so sorry that Pete has been through such an ordeal. Poor Smartie and You too with all that worry. As an incapacitated person at the mo I understand his frustrations :- " Hopefully he will continue to have great progress and you won't have to deal with the fusing.

Your two boys are beautiful, and that last pic shows how close they are, must have been very traumatic for Smartie as well :(

I know that your cuddles will mean as much to Pete as the cuddles I am getting from my boys mean everything to me.

Give them both a big kiss from me and tell them they are gorgeous

That last picture Shane is just    Awwww

Even if his joint is fused he will still be able to run. Leia has only a small amount of movement in her wrist and although it has slowed her up quite a bit she can still run like mad. She is back to her normal walks (1.5-2 hrs of free running per day)

Fingers crossed that he continues to recover. :luck:

Thanks Rae that's made me feel better, knowing that he may still run. :)

I don't believe this Pete's front paw had swollen up, displacing his toe  , mark on top of his foot ? a bite :( , his pad was swollen and we noticed a dark area we lanced it and Pete never flinched :huggles: , but loads of pus and blood stained stuff came out :x , some swelling gone down so hope thats it :( , poor thing it's a good job he's on antibiotics and has lots of love and cuddles, he never complains  :huggles:

Poor love - sounds like hes having plenty of extra attention - Hope hes much better soon. After all that horrible puss - im sure he will feel a bit better anyway. :luck: :luck:

Oh Poor boy- he's really going through it at the moment isn't he.

Most of the swelling has gone down and it's more comfortable, will ask the vet to check it out tomorrow when he goes for his check up for his hind one tomorrow, 100% whippet only 50% of legs working!! :- "
