I'm currently using Ruso's black 5 mm showlead when practising with Badger, but I don't really like how it cuts into the white neck on his show side.

I'm stuck as white cuts into the black on his offside, and red is a complete contrast and I think I'll end up showing him in red so it will compliment my outfit (or should I say match my 'back end of a bus' look :b

Thanks Jayne for taking the pics for me yesterday :huggles:

So what do you think all you pros?

what a beautiful dog!

if i were you id show em how its done and cover half your collar with white - perhaps use insulating tape as that comes in different colours or search for someone on the net who makes these show lead sets and ask if they could cover it for you - although i know that the white does have a tendency to chip off over time - ask if they could use the dye on top of the black perhaps ?

you're going to win in any case!!

best of luck

:luck:

I tend to like the plainer colours. The black or the white look great, I slightly prefer the white. The only downside, having shown a blue & white dog in the past is I found the white leads tend to get grubby.

If you are going to be wearing red then the red lead will look stunning.

Good luck

oooo the black ,the badger man is gorguse

I like the red as it solves the problems you said.

But not sure how show pc it is?

White! As when he is stacked people will obviously be looking at his show side and you don't wnat a black lead cutting into that lovely white neck

YELLOW (w00t) ....................................................no, black for me too. :huggles:

He looks stunning in all of them  but I personally prefer the BLACK for some reason - but then I don't show whippets so go with your own instinct  and good luck at the shows :luck:

If you are REALLY good and do a lot of creeping, I will let you see if you like my very fine, hand made black and white show slip which was made specifically for my black years ago - that way you will have a bit of both

Gill,

What a wonderfully kind offer. I really don't know what to say :b I'm not sure I'd be able to do enough creeping for something so precious :b

I've sent you a pm

I love the black  ....but now he would just look good in anything... :huggles:

OMG!! im laughing because he just looks so stunning in every colour, LOL :)) now, im somebody that does'nt know anything about the show ring but black is good on the little man as he is mostly black it suits him very well but somebody here pointed out that the white lead would not cut into his beautiful white neck line so thats a good thing i would have thought but i got to be honest the red is spectacular on him!!

oh, he is such a little stunner :)) :)) :))

The black or the white but not the red (w00t)

A black and white lead would be nice

I said white so not to cut his neck in half on the show side. A white collar piece with a black lead would be the perfect combination IMO, if you could get one!

Definitely not red
