Ive been so lucky with all my work with animals over the years and with a bit of luck im only half way through!

I was a vet nurse and dog and cat groomer and then owned my own animal agency working with animals on film and tv which was nothing short of fantastic.

now i live with all my cats and dogs and have occassional litters of cavaliers and have just had my first whippet litter - now 4 and a half weeks old.

i also make all kinds of dog coats and some of you have been kind enough to order them and im so grateful!

Just wondering what people do to earn a living?

I currently work in Accounts doing admin and finance stuff  -_-   and also teaching riding freelance. :p

what do you do?

I teach French and German in a secondary school - only 3 days a week so that I can have more time for my children and pets ....pupils were lovely last week when they heard about Henry and love my various screensavers of children/whippet/poodle life.

p.s. midlanderkeith makes me laugh!

I taught in the late 70's/80's for 7 years before deciding it wasn't really for me. For 9 of the last 12 years I have been a Special Needs Teaching Assistant. :)

I'm not working at the moment as I was working with a Y6 boy who left to go on to Secondary school. So I'm in the process of looking for something else. I must say, I am quite enjoying not going out to work and there seems to be plenty for me to do at home, helping my husband with his admin, taking the dogs for a walk, spending time on K9... oh, and I suppose the cleaning and washing etc have to be done as well. :p It's just the spending money I miss! :- "

I work as a countryside ranger, environmental education/conservation bla bla, so Im lucky that I can have my whipplets around me all the time.

Never felt the need to climb a 'career ladder', always fancied the house wife option.....a quick dust here and there and a microwave meal for the hubby.....sorted!....until I realised that its even easier without the hubby!

I am a teaching assistant I work with a year 4 boy with special needs very demanding full time.

also full time house wife with all duties to go with it with two lurchers and a big fat cat.

sue o:)

Currently not working due to health problems but previously done all sorts.

Ran small packaging company with (soon to be ex) hub. Doing accounts VAT etc.

in my younger days I worked all over the world as a Nanny and also taught in a kindergarten.

Oh and a bit of breaking and selling on young horses with my Dad and Secretary for the local branch of The Pony Club.

Can't help thinking I should've worked harder at school, daughter has just been told that if she pursues Economics as a career (she's not sure between that and Law), with a good degree she would be looking at a starting salary of £40k!!!!
