I've started this new thread in case this bit im adding doesn't get noticed.

THIS is the first part i posted yesterday.

All evening they were right as rain, pottered about together and slept together.

But i did have them in separate bedrooms last night...........this is normal any

way and not just because of the fight.

I got them all up together and they had breakfast. I then went to tescos at 7.30

and put the dogs to bed with my daughter.....again no problems. I put the

shopping away and had a tidy round while the dogs lazed about the yard. Then

i took them down the beach.

There was no one about so i let them all run free (Al barks so sometimes he is

kept on lead or has separate walks so i can spend some time trying to stop this)

A couple of time when they were all excited Sada growled but i called her and

chucked the ball and she happily chased after it.

Then Kaya and Alba were having a bit of rough and tumble and Sada just went

for him. He kept trying to get away from her but she just kept going for him. So

he then got up on his back legs and was going back at her.

They ended up in the water both up on their back legs, by the time i could get

them parted Al was bleeding. She hasn't bit him but there is one hole in his back

leg and one low on his side. I presume these were made from teeth and not claws.

I've cleaned him up and they don't look anything to worry about but obviously if

i think there is any problem or Al look's in any distress he will be straight to the

vets.

I just don't know where to go from here with them.........

I hate seeing Sada turn into the dog from hell and i hate seeing Big Al hurt.

Kaya doesn't give a shite she run's round like its all a big game.

The only thing i know for certain are

1..........im not parting with either of the dogs, Sada and Al are both staying

with me come hell or high water.

2.........Sada will be getting speyed in June.

This was taken last night, can you believe it..........

Ann Im so sorry things have turned worse in your peaceful household.

Ive no advice as Ive never had to go through this.

I do hope things work out for you all... :huggles: :luck:

oh ann...i am sorry to hear this..so upsetting when they scrap..i hope things get better ann... :huggles:

:( aww ann must be terrible for you hun ,thinking of you all sorry i cant give advise as iv not been in this situation just hope it all sorts itself out for you hun :huggles: :luck:

I am so sorry how distracing I wont type loads on dominace and reinforcment as I am sure you know all this allready. it loks like maybe sada thought Alba was attacing or being to ruff with kayla and she desided as shes top bitch to sort him out once and for all.

I had 2 greyhound who lived happly togethere for 7 years no problem but if you let them off lead at the same time world war 3 would break out. they were fine in the garden playing but anywere else it was so serious shelby batter Boris that badly he riped his side open and boris had 20 stiches and t drains fited. yet in the houes they would sleep togethere eat togethere no problem the only thing we did was let them off in turnes and each one could go off lead with any of the other dogs.

I hope you fined a workabel solution :luck:

wendy

is sada due in season My ruby truns into a beast just before shes come in for about 2 weeks beforehand

no advice - just sending you huge hugs x

I had two sisters like that (Jenna and Lucy) - they would live happily together, but try and kill each other if they were allowed to free run together. Indoors they would have a growl at each other sometimes, and like you I would distract them by getting their attention with "who wants a biscuit" - the only thing that they would ever listen to :D I know it's difficult - we thought about parting with one - but how could we decide? So we kept both, and in time it did get easier. We had the least dominant one spayed (Lucy), so that Jenna would maybe feel she was less of a threat, but I have to say we didn't notice any difference. We then had Jenna spayed too, but not really any better. We learnt to know the signals, and what sparked them off, and avoid doing those things. I could never pick one up off the floor, or the other would jump up attacking her, and that worked both ways  So to do their nails, I had to walk the dog to the chair, and then slide her onto my knee - if her feet left the floor the other would fly.

The only advice I can offer is to always keep collars on them - we used to take collars off when they were indoors - but once they had a scrap and it was difficult to get them apart without getting bitten. We kept collars on all the time after that - and it saved their necks sometimes (the bite wounds would be in the collar!).

This makes it sound terrible, but we had many more happy days than we did fighting days, and in between they would entwine themselves in the chair, and wash each other like the best of friends.

Hope you manage to sort things out. :luck: Good luck with them

Sorry I can't offer any advice, but I hope they sort themselves out soon.

sounds like sadas reading the wrong signals when kaya and AL are play fighting, you might have to keep one on the lead until they get to know each other more.

oh Ann, sounds awful, im really hoping you get things sorted :luck: :luck:

:huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

Oh Ann -I'm sorry you're going through this with them - sounds as if sada is protecting Kaya from the big bad Al, maybe leting them off the lead in two's will calm things and show Sada that there is nothing to worry about

I hope you get it sorted :huggles: :huggles:

Mmmm im wondering if that's going to be the answer,

letting them of the leads at different times.

It would be lovely if something so simple could stop all

this.

I might even muzzle Sada, im not having Al hurt again :(

For the record - had long talk with Ann today and she has my full support with everything. I know she is the best home Al could have. :huggles: He hasn't just got a new mum - I've got a new friend as well. :)

Should also add, although this is Ann's business and not mine, that Sada is being spayed for many reasons and this current problem is only a small part of it.

Keep going Ann. You're doing a brilliant job in a tough situation! :huggles: :huggles:

iv got my fingers crossed for you, i really hope they can get along better :luck: :luck: :huggles:
