its like a scene at our house with the log burner on the go :D dont they just love the heat ,our burners been on for the last 3 months non stop now most its ever been used this year.
 
It took a long time to get one..now they have gone up in price..OH put it in ...couldnt do without it now...and we are always on the look for logs and fallen trees...i even add a few exra logs in, just before we go to bed...just to keep the girls warm through the nite...awwww

Think I might be depriving Blue as I have no focal point heat at all, just radiators...

I've got a similar scene I took on my mobile this afternoon. :) They just love it don't they? We burn coal in the winter as it lasts longer - spring and autumn we change to wood. But it's such a lovely thing to have. :thumbsup:

I know what you're saying I've burnt that much wood this year but there's no beating a real flame. I'm always on the look out for wood old pallets, rotten branches, bits out of skips .
 
we get some of our wood from the local joiners shop they sell bags of mixed soft and hard wood for a £1 and lasts us about 3 days :thumbsup: cheap as chips :D

Just a word of warning - apparently pressure treated wood (the stuff that has been treated against rot etc) can give off arsenic fumes which can cause neurological damage. :( Worth being wary of. Most sellers of wood burners say you shouldn't use it.
