I've got a similar scene I took on my mobile this afternoon. They just love it don't they? We burn coal in the winter as it lasts longer - spring and autumn we change to wood. But it's such a lovely thing to have. :thumbsup:It took a long time to get one..now they have gone up in price..OH put it in ...couldnt do without it now...and we are always on the look for logs and fallen trees ...i even add a few exra logs in, just before we go to bed...just to keep the girls warm through the nite...awwww
I know what you're saying I've burnt that much wood this year but there's no beating a real flame. I'm always on the look out for wood old pallets, rotten branches, bits out of skips .It took a long time to get one..now they have gone up in price..OH put it in ...couldnt do without it now...and we are always on the look for logs and fallen trees...i even add a few exra logs in, just before we go to bed...just to keep the girls warm through the nite...awwww
Nice one certainly cheaper than British Gaswe get some of our wood from the local joiners shop they sell bags of mixed soft and hard wood for a £1 and lasts us about 3 days  cheap as chips
Just a word of warning - apparently pressure treated wood (the stuff that has been treated against rot etc) can give off arsenic fumes which can cause neurological damage. Worth being wary of. Most sellers of wood burners say you shouldn't use it.I know what you're saying I've burnt that much wood this year but there's no beating a real flame.
