Sorry I should have explained, Jacob was my beloved boy that I lost on Christmas Eve last year. He had been retired in the spring with sudden and chronic arthritis, which is why I bought Scoobie. Jacob then developed a heart condition the week before Christmas and it was not something that...
Well we have just got back from the vets and I am very proud of my little boy. He was sooo brave. The vet had a good look and then stuck her little finger into it. The hole luckily didn't go straight in, so much as along under the flesh - pretty yukey though :bad: After having a good look...
Looking forward to seeing your piccies Jane.
Yes they are very different horses and it was a very concious decision. Jacob was bought by the heart, not the head. Obviously being so tall meant he was also very long. Its certainly true it was pretty difficult to get disloged from him as there...
As you requested JinnyFizz, here are a couple of piccies of my boys. The bay is Jacob and the coloured in Scoobie, my present lad who will turn 6 in the spring and is a bit of a hooligan !
Mmmm it did prove a little difficult at competitions. At home the yard owner had built a most excellent mounting block that was about 3' tall. He was a lamb though, I miss him every day. He was put down last Xmas Eve with a heart condition. He had been retired in the spring with sudden and...
Thanks guys :huggles: I appreciate comments from everyone.
Animal lady you have made me feel better, I haven't given any Metacam as he actually seems fine. He has slept since I last posted and I have just let him into the garden for a pee and he has shot off after something at the bottom...
Its not that bad I don't think. It isn't bleeding now, just weeping so I am sure he will be fine til the morning. Luckily I have quite an extensive first aid kit so at least I know it is clean. I am not brilliant at gorey things though - so needless to say I am apparently on a diet tonight :D
Why is it always at night when the vets are shut :russian_roulette:
Solly has just come in from the garden with about a half inch rectangle of flesh missing off his shoulder blade. It is quite squidgy and makes a horrible noise when pushed so I think it is probably a pucture wound - again...
I am so sorry to hear that Badger's health is not looking too good. Vets can do brilliant things these days - keep positive - you are right to be in denial. Sending loads of positive vibes :huggles: :huggles: and :luck: :luck:
Owch that looks nasty, poor Holly :huggles: I would say I would probably get the vets to double check and probably give a shot of antibiotics. My lad took the top quarter off his pad completely a little while back, I was advised to put wound powder on it to help it dry and then a bag over...
I agree with you Trish - for a nineteen year old cat who has had surgery, I think she looks remarkable  You can see she is a well loved cat - she is very pretty
Its so nice to see Katie up and about. Poor little thing - is she OK now, will she have to keep with medication? Very relieved for you that she is looking well.
