As some of you are aware Fudge is a typical whippet a THIEF!!,he has been pinching bags of crisps while i have been out on the school run,i dont know how he can open the kitchen door but he can  well the crisps are now safely tucked away in a container :- " ,what i need advice on is i came home today to find he had got in the sweet box  i dont know how he managed it but he did ,there was wrappers all over the hall and pantry,im just worried what effect it will have on him  he has eaten 4-5 mini bags of haribo gummy sweets,a couple of boiled sweets and a few sweet lolly's .

i don't think it will have much effect on him, might get a bit hyper with all the sugar he sounds like a right tea leaf, your gonna have put the kiddies locks back on, even though your samantha and lee are teenagers,

lol

p.s if you have door handles why don't you turn then round so you have lift them up instead of down might solve your problem

i think i need to debbie ,looks like he will eat anything (w00t)

yep sounds like fudge might be a bit hyper tonight

you could put childlocks on, or you could just rearrange your cupboards so all the food is up out of reach trac

hope fudge is ok :luck:

I think he will be ok as long as it's not chocolate . Whippets are thiefs all their lives I came home a few weeks ago to find my 15 year old whippet had got a big box of Thorntons toffee and eaten it all , we knew it was her alright when she started being sick ! I never knew a whippet could actually look green (w00t)

lol it was out of reach so i thought ,im going to have to set a camera up and see just how he can open doors, even samantha says the door to the kitchen is hard to open (w00t)

Bless him - he wanted some sweeties. I think you better take him on a long walk to work out all that sugar!

Can't you crate him?

think you might need a lock and key for your kitchen  he sounds a determined lad and knows what he wants :p :teehee:

i could just stop buying the kids sweets ,crisps :- "

awww silly little bugger....he's still cute though...and I dare say he'll be just fine...make sure you clean his teeth though before bed

(w00t) (w00t)

one of my sisters (dillon) can even open the oven and grill  she has to keep a bungie strap over the cooker to keep him out....not that it works

jane has to keep all the food in high cupboards, so all dillon can get to is the pots and pans....and he loves chewing the handles off them

poor fudge.....you should feed him trac (w00t)

When we had our first whippet Jasper he was very picky with his food but we discovered he loved haribo sweets.

So to get him to eat we bribed him he could have a couple of haribo if he ate his tea. It worked well untill he figured out how to get the lid of the tub of sweets and ate the whole lot in one go. He was a bit hyper but thats all and needless to say we stopped giving him the haribo

Mine have managed to eat crisps, choccy biscuits, eggs and shells, so nothing is left in their reach and all locked away and out of reach, well most of the time anyway, they managed to get an apple studle on sunday, stupidly left at the back of the work surface :- "

Also Tetley has a liking for remote controls which he destroys, today i came home to find the telephone chewd up, luckily he hadnt swallowed the batteries, but ive no idea whats happened to the back of the phone...

Hope Fudge is ok tonight....he will probably feel like me today... :x

Little Git

Poacher can open doors if they have the pull down handle  ........ she can also jump 5 bar gates from a standstill (w00t)

Methinks I may have a minor issue keeping her on the premises if I go out without her :- " :sweating: :sweating:
