hey all,

i have waited to post this as i didnt want to spoil the festive mood on the board.

as some of you know my aunty carol was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year, after nearly losing her back in may she made a mirical recovery and held on to see christmas with us. we sadly lost her on the 27 of dec at 10 pm, she slipped away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family at home.

i cant tell all u ladies out there that have put off mamogramms through embarrasment or lack of time in your day how important it is that you have them. carol could of been saved if she had gone for hers, so come on girls get ur wallys out for ur family.... and urself.

:( how sad, my thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time :(

So sad. Our thoughts are with you.

Some woman also seem to be getting diagnosed with this much younger that was once considered typical. Ladies don't muck about if you think something is not quite right.

So sad for you that this has happened :( Really glad you have brought the mammogram thing up though, no one should ever put off going for one. I've heard people saying they are painful - they aren't. Minor discomfort is all I would say.

I hope next Christmas you won't be sad, but will remember you auntie and celebrate her life :huggles:

so sorry to hear about your aunt,my thoughts are with you.

Im very sorry to hear about your Aunty xxxx

RIP Carol x

So sorry to hear the tragic news about your Auntie. :( My thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. :huggles:

It really does make you realise how important it is to have a mammogram.

So sorry for your loss Dana, my thoughts are with you :(

I am so very sorry to hear about your Aunt. It must have been an awful time for you and your family. I hope that 2009 will be a good year for you and give you some good memories. Hopefully with time you will be able to think of all the good times you shared and the pain will ease.

Be nice to yourself....my thoughts are with you. Sending bighugs your way

So sorry Dana for your loss, so much harder at this time of year

So sorry for the loss of your aunt, Dana :(

Christmas is just the worst time of year when you are coping with illness and bereavement.

You are right, a 10 minute mammogram appointment can save your life and

they really aren't as awful as they are cracked up to be. My mum has had

breast cancer, but because she went for regular mammograms it was caught

before it advanced and she is now clear. I will always go for mine

Thinking of you :huggles:

RIP Carol x

So very sorry to hear about the loss of your Aunt. Extremely thoughtful of you to think of others at this difficult time :huggles:
