Thank you all for a lovely, fabby, fun day  ......Just how it should be :D ......It was nice to see old friends again, and to meet some k9ners  ......There was some great courses and such game dogs .....I loved watching little Maddie, how gutsy is she  ........

Congratulations to all who organised and helped at this event and to all of the runners :D .......A great day that MUST be repeated ;) .........

Congratulations to ALL of the winners, finalists and owners .......They all did you proud ........Thanks to Lesley, Andy and Jordon for your hospitality :huggles: , and I hope Jordon feels better soon, and fingers crossed Andy :luck:

Benjamin is made up that his Connie won a rosette ......I told him it was for the "dog with the fastest recall from slips to owners stake" :b .....Well that was true in a round about way, but it made him very happy, not that Beej needs this to be proud of his Connie as hes always VERY proud of her  ......

The slipper Aaron was so calm and gentle with our Vinnie and it really was appreciated as he came on leaps with each slip  .....Great photos and I can't wait to see more .....Hannah xx

Forgot to say what fantastic sports people Andy and Lesley are ......Theres not many like you about

(w00t)

Thanks to everyone for such a smashing day!!

I really enjoyed it and the rosette we got just for taking part was a lovely gesture.

Thank you.

My wee Jade really enjoyed it and I would love to bring my boys sometime to try it too!

Everyone was very helpful and patient with us beginners and I can't thank you enough. I am very relieved we didn't disgrace ourselves and really glad we had the opportunity to bring our dogs along.

I'm only sorry we didn't have more time to get to know people better but it was nice to put some faces to the names and i will be looking forwards to meeting everyone again at some point.

Congratulations to the winners ans happy running to all the contestants!!

 Cheers

The owners of the 2 Main stake semi Finals have all expressed an interest in a run off stake between the 4 Main Stake Semis from todays meeting and the Bob Blatch meeting being held inh January to find the truely best lure coursing whippet in the UK (suject to acceptance from the East Anglias meetings Semi Finalist.
Have we had a reply regarding this challenge yet Mark Middle of February would be a great time to have a champs type lure event wouldnt it?

If the weather is mild enough that would be great.

Has anyone ever thought of organising a lure coursing league table

With pedigree whippet clubs asked to put forward a team that will compete once a month at a central point in the uk.

The team could be made up of the same or different dogs each time depending on seasons and injuries but also individual points awarded to dogs and bitches seperately to determine the uk champion and the top uk team.

That would take a lot of organisation but coursing is so exciting it should be thought about maybe

What does any one else think?

On behalf of Deb and myself just like to add our sincere thanks to Jeff , Mark, the lovely mesdames Roberts, everyone on the field who made a great days sport possible. Sincere congratulations to Cheryl and Gary with the superb Angel . Rae with Supe for salvaging a bit of Southern pride (and we had to get a geordie to do that) (w00t) and also Sarah and Maggiemay. Just to put the record straight Digger damaged his near wrist in the semi. Thanks to the soft ground he carried his bad toes all day with no problem. Thanks also to Beaker for strapping up Digger and saying what i knew was right but had to hear from someone else's lips. everyone was a pleasure to be with and we all took the best dogs home. Til the next time

Love the pictures of Jinx waiting patiently to go home!!!!

She wasnt very patient on Sunday!!!!!!!!

Great weekend looking forward to the next already!!!

Glad that Digger will be OK that was such a shame but definatly the right decision for him. Just wait till the next time ehhh

Well looky at that glamorous woman in the stripey jumper :* nearly didn't recognise you Sarah in your non racing gear :D
