Pippin  :(
The one who chewed the duvets?

Yes Rae! I have tried to stay pretty strong but just that simple sentence and memory of her naughtiness made me burst into tears.

Sorry Lana I didnt mean to make it worse for you. :(

I have a feeling that duvets will not be safe again very soon, and I'm still praying for her to go home.

What if someone finds her - can they identify her and get her back home? Can you get posters up in vets and pet shops?

It's encouraging that Poppy has made it home recently, she has survived fine and there's no reason why Pippin could not have done the same. She might be right behind home shortly. :luck:

When my 3 have dissapeared in the woods here they never come back together, so it doesnt mean that anythign has happened to Pippin.

Chin up Lana, Im sure Pippin will be back, fingers crossed, perhaps the other two know where to wait for their owner, Pippin knows its her home so is not so worried about rushing back.

Have you tried taking Poppy out on a long line to see if she will lead you tp Pippin? Don't give up hope, thinking of you.

Stay strong Lana :huggles: I'm sure Pippin will be back home soon. :luck: :luck: Don't give up hope.

Poppy didn't come back to Natalie's property. She was 'captured' by some other people 15 kilometres away.

She has lost quite a bit of weight (but was a little pudding to start with) and is not footsore like Honey was.

As of 9pm tonight there was still no news of Pippin. I am worried because she was sleek and in "race" condition. If she has lost as much weight as Poppy has she will be emaciated.

I will ask if they will take Poppy back out there tomorrow but her owners may not want to after the ordeal she has already been through.

Everyone in the district should know about it by now, the farmers all around their property have been phoned, it's in all the local vets, on the local radio and will be in the local paper tomorrow.

Please God, guide my little girl to safety

Just catching up on K9, I hope Pippin comes home soon.

Lana I have only just seen this. I lost a whippet many years ago & I used to go out very late at night when everyone was tucked up quiet in bed. No cars around. I drove my car very slowly, calling her name at the top of my voice. Just when I was feeling at my most hopeless she came running out of the fog. Skinny, filthy & oh so happy to see me. She'd been gone 4 days.

Tell them to go to where Poppy was found late, late maybe from 11pm onwards. Wear warm clothes & just call her. Then listen carefully, they might hear her whimper or bark. Please tell them not to give up yet. Take Poppy with them on a long lead as Juley suggested. Remember how brave Picco rescued Leon.

I hope she is found.

Linda

Great advice, Linda.

I am just surprised that they became separated. When we run our dogs, even 5, they are always together. When one takes off the rest follow, I can shoot hundreds of pictures, and mostly I have them all in the one picture.

My guess would be that something frightened them and they ran in three different directions, the Honey went home and the other two ????? So i would not concentrate my search to the area Poppy was found.

Keeping my fingers crossed you find her soon :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:
