I've just had a call from Pat who has little Fern & Homer,& while she was out on a walk with them both on lead,a bloody great dane came charging up & viciously attacked Fern.

It grabbed her & picked her up & shook her like a rag doll .She's at the vets being operated on as he's worried that her lung is damaged & broken some ribs :'(

Poor little Homer is extremely traumatised & has some damage near to one of his eyes,& Pat has also been bitten on her hands

So please say a prayer for them all,but especially for precious little Fern that she makes a full recovery :huggles:

Pat's just rang me again & she's going to the vets to pick Fern up & take her to a specialist vet in bristol as her lung is damaged

Apparantly the dog that attacked her was ON a lead,but when it saw Pat & her dogs it just dragged it's owner over to them as she wasn't strong enough to hold it :angry: .......what the f*ck are rescue kennels doing rehoming a bloody great thing like that to someone who can't even control it on a lead??? :rant: :rant: :rant:

Poor Fern and Homer, I can't think of the right words to say, I'm praying everything goes well for little Fern at the vets, and that Homer comes through it all ok. We're all thinking of you here Pat, it's just too much to take in. All the puppies in Fern's litter are the most beautiful whippets to live with, such a joy to own, I can't bear to think of this happening to her.
