Our vet consultation fees over the last 2 years have gone from £10 to £20 and are now £22.

I thought it would be interesting to see how much we all pay in different parts of the country and in Ireland and other countries too.

C'mon everyone - lets all have a moan. :rant:

If you need treatment/medication etc. you pay for the treatment/meds. There's nothing added on top.

Going next week to get puppies vaccinated. £28.50 per pup for the full course (i.e the two injections). I have one pup that is getting it's first jab only before it goes to it's new home so it's £14 for her.

We drive approx. 25 miles to our vets so a round trip is about 50 miles. My car does 50mpg so averages out at around £4.75 in petrol.

The local vet charged my Aunt £60 for a consultation and some furball medication for her cat I know where I'd rather go :thumbsup: .

Nothing for me (as I work there) But for clients £15.

none for mine my vet is semi retired but runs a clinic for racing dogs however if they need anything major like Annie did then they have to go to main surgery then its [SIZE=21pt]£27[/SIZE] :wacko: but its a one off

Same vet as Linda and if he asked £50 for a consultation I'd gladly pay it as he's a fantastic vet.

Jeebs operation at the main surgery was £400 which was complex, invasive and involved a lesion being removed and biopsied. I thought that was quite reasonable. :thumbsup:

£20 for mine, follow up visit £16, quick consultation £12.

The quick consultation was for staples, the stapling cost £20 so total £32, which I thought was reasonable.

PTS £90, that includes cremation and pet cemetery. No charge for follow up visits if there is nothing to do, just check!!! All include vat.

There is a lot to be said for a good vet, if you're lucky enough to find a good vet that's at a good price it's a bonus.

I reckon we did well getting away with £250 for a c-section. Luckily Leo and Leah have paid for it between them and any money leftover has been allocated on pee pads and decently quality puppy food to feed them until they leave (plus an extra "doggy bag" to take to their new home).

£18 for clients but i work there so don't have to pay it and get most of my stuff at cost, just now i probably couldn't afford to pay full price.

£20 for mine. £10 for the piggies. He'll do little bits and pieces, ie. nails, teeth for free if I ask nicely enough. Even got him to take my piggie in overnight at no charge because I couldn't get in the following morning to bring her in for an op. No charge for follow ups, unless there is more treatment. He only charged £99 for Lennys castration (both nuts retained), whereas our old vets had quoted around £300 :angry:

£25 for Poacher to see the specialist vet + medication etc.

Will update on costs as I go :sweating:

My normal vet practice charges £13 for a consult + medications etc :thumbsup:
