Hi there, we recently got Pedigree Dentastix Dog Treat Dental Chews for our 4-month-old puppy and I was wondering if other dog owners have bought the product and can provide some feedback on it. Thank you

It's really not effective as a dental hygiene product. Ok as a treat but rubbish for cleaning teeth, in fact on of the ingredients either is, or used to be, a sugar.

Raw chicken wings, or natural treats that take 15 minutes or more to chew are better. My dog likes fish skins, they take him a good while to chew on.

As mentioned by @JoanneF
Chicken wings (raw), fish skins.
Any natural raw products are fine.
Whole carrots to chew, broccoli stalks, sprout stalks (when in season), the mid veins from a cabbage leaf,. All raw bones are fine, just take care with the shin bones as these can be a bit dense and can damage some teeth. Knuckle bones, pig and lamb rib bones are good too.
The shop bought man made pre-shaped chews are useless and are mostly made of grain which are no good for cleaning or their health.. These can put unwanted weight on your dog and leave an unhealthy residue on your dogs teeth.
