I was just being nosey and wondered what the k9's do for a living, what we do on a day to day basis to feed the hounds??? :) :)

well I work in a posh Hotel (it's a dive but it's supposed to be 4 star) and do just about every job there!! it pisses me off a lot, I can go in to do silver service, which I quiet enjoy......................

and then they will have me running the bar, doing reception, cooking, housekeeping, pot washing and laundry!!

so I've told them I'm NOT coming in for couple of weeks (at peak time now) and there not happy one bit well it's TOUGH!! :p

I have 4 kids one just turned a teenager  3 dogs, 2 snakes, 3 lizards, 4 bedroomed house to clean, an 18 year old bro who treats my house as a cafe, and work expects me to work 7 days a week (evenings too 6pm till finish 2am) in the summer time

Well I was a Receptionist/Switchboard operator for 16 years full time and now only work part time - for the last 11 years working on an Open Farm - taking parties of school children around our farm showing them our animals and talking about them. Animals are great  not sure about some of the kids though   Glad to see some of them climb back onto the bus (please note I am a Mother!!)

Mmm thats the job Id have liked too ILKC - so lucky

My varied employment - I have worked in a bank  (very boring), worked as a veterinary nurse :) :)  (great job), been a secretary -_- (tedious), and then trained in later life to be an occupational therapist :sweating: (couldn't stand the stress of working in the NHS).

Now I have a lovely job - retired (as my OH retired a year ago, so did I!!!)  Wished I had continued with Vet Nursing or been clever enough to be a Vet though.

There's an old thread from last year where lots of people posted things about what they did. It started off as a general chit-chat about what we were all doing on-line so early in the morning... and ended up showing what an amazingly mixed bunch of K9-ers there were!

It's here if anyone's interested: "Morning site" thread

It's quite nice to see how many people who were around then, are still avid K9-addicts :- "

:D

I work in my friend's kennel's and cattery :D .....You've met her Helen, she has the Bouvier's :D

what do I do?

I have 2 italian greyhounds and 2 whippets to look after

I work in Tesco 4 days a week, but lucky enough to work in the office upstairs away from the stress of the shop floor - although staff often treat me worse than customers do! (well, until I tell them the correct way to talk to a work colleague, that is! :- " ) I do a mixture of days and late nights

I also do 4-6 hours over the weekend in our local dog rescue (Chiltern dog rescue society), feeding and cleaning kennels (good for my soul)

oh yeah, I also have 2 grumpy kids (teenager and almost-teenager) and a saint-like old man o:)

and I still manage to go on here and watch big brother every day!!!!!!!!!

my life is too full

I also USED to be a nurse. I specialised in orthopaedics....It got very stressy and nasty and I left the profession. I did a book-keeping course and do the accounts for OH's business now. I have also just taken on the treasurer's role at South Cotswolds WRC. I am a mum, and I seem to have a lot of ironing (w00t) . I have to spend loads of time with the whippets as they are very sensitive :- " and am required to visit K9 regularly :b
