Miss you very much Veronica as a great lady and above all as a wonderful coursing companion.
Won't forget you, very much missed.
Take care
Angela
In my very humble opinion, please could you move this thread to coursing
I miss her very much
Sounds like a fab event... wish I could come. Perhaps next time. Cristobel has lure coursed with the BSFA but doesn't try 100% for plastic, a furry lure would be great. Good luck anyway
Stugeron (available from Chemists). One tab an hour before travelling for adults, 1/4 - 1/2 tab for puppies). Doesn't seem to have any side effects. You'll wonder how you ever managed without it.
Hope this helps.
Sorry for being as usual being deeply unpopular
However FWIW if you can't tolerate having a dog that disappoints please give up showing. IMHO you make up your own mind about your dog, don't follow fashion, if he pleases you you will stick by him, whatever the (mistaken) judges think.
No wonder...
Absolutely the last word on this subject from me.... I promise
Betty Beaumont (Crufts judge whippet judge 2006 on the r/c class):
"Where were all these nice bitches I see around the track?""
Well, you missed your chance last year, you may not get another for several years
Angela
Well done Caroline you must be very pleased.
However knowing the shambles at the KC I'm still not convinced...
We will be back. F**k the ban!
Yours respectfully
Angela
Sorry!!! (must be my age) I distinctly (don't know how) gained the impression that 'show people' resented the fact that racing/coursing dogs could enter the r/c coursing class at Crufts and (would you believe it?) seriously challenge show dogs for a CC or even BOB ??? (Silly me)
I have this...
Sorry if I offend anyone but I can't help feeling that the response from the showing fraternity on this subject has been less than gracious.
Would you expect your show whippet to compete fairly in a race against racing whippets (after all what are whippets for?) so why should you be so afraid...
I've entered this class every year since 2001, occasionally with a dog that only qualified by winning a coursing stake, not by showing.
I had been told this was correct by someone with more than 30 year's experience in the breed who both coursed and awarded CCs. I *believe* that this did not...
very much hope you (and other racers) will be there next year. It's more than time there were many more representatives from the racing circuit.
Against beaker I don't have a hope... :x
Er... don't think anyone ever doubted your qualification to enter this class, least of all me having suffered (as you know) numerous blows at the hands of beetle on several occasions.
let the best dog win. :huggles:
