Flora is ending her season at the moment but all of a sudden she is really quiet and has the runniest bottm ever...
twice we have gotten up to runny puddles as if it has caught her seriously short in thie night...
she is normally really food and able to eat anything but now shes like this...
we got home yesterday to find the neighbourhood kids had put our dogs back in the garden....
I can understand Basil leaping out as he can get out of a stable from a standing start and clear a cattle grid without a run up no problems...
YEP a full width cattlegrid ker-ping !!!!!!!!!!!!
but...
went out with Flora last night and the difference was amazing..
three times she went to go say hello to a golden retriever and on all occasions a simple no and come bought her back to my side...
shes really getting the knack of obediance now im sooo chuffed
she is a sweety
people with small dogs just dont realise how close they come to being pulverised by the larger dogs... if a big dog had the temperament of a terrier it would be p0ut down for being aggressive.. whereas a terrier is "cor hes feisty for a littlun"
peony is going to kill me for saying this but I...
Does anyone else have trouble with their greyhound and distractions???
we can walk Flora in the park off the lead and shes really good, comes back when called, sits for treats, walks to heel until she sees another dog then she has to run over and say hello, and wont come back no matterhow loud...
We decided to treat the kids to a paddling pool today as it was only a fiver....
didnt go quite according to plan though :D
heheh
see attatched pics taken by peony inbetween the fits of laughter as Rosie dunked for sunken dog treats
I try to explain to them that its for them to cool off...

our boy basil gets ecstatic when you come in the room, even if you only left to go to the toilet. . . . has to stand up you (doesnt jump sort of sstttrrreeetttches gently up you head to one side looking at you with lurve in his eyes. . . . .
flora the geryhound just tries an climbs up but...
hehehe look at them crashed out on the bed, our entire bitch greyhound flora likes the bed but tends to "mark" it as her own :S which isnt nice really....

nail clipping was fun to say the least, as was the worming way-in
